4A molecular sieve
4A molecular sieve is a molecular sieve with a pore size of 4A, and its main component is alkali metal aluminosilicate. It can adsorb molecules with a diameter less than 4A, such as water, methanol, ethanol, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, ethylene and propylene, but not molecules with a diameter greater than 4A, such as propane.

Main parameter:
Diameter(mesh): 8*12 ; 4*8
Static adsorbed water(≥ %wt): 21; 21
Adsorption of methanol(≥ mg/g):140; 140
Bulk density(≥ g/ml): 0.66; 0.66
Abrasion ratio(≤ %wt): 0.1; 0.1
Residual moisture content(≤ %wt): 1.5; 1.5
Chemical properties and structure:
4A molecular sieve is a microporous crystalline material formed by connecting silicon, aluminum and oxygen atoms through tetrahedral structural units. Its basic structural units include silicon oxygen tetrahedron (SiO4) and aluminum oxygen tetrahedron (AlO4), which are connected to form chain and ring structures through shared vertex oxygen atoms. In order to maintain electrical neutrality, there are usually positively charged cations (such as Na+) near the aluminum oxygen tetrahedron to offset its negative charge.
Application areas:
4A molecular sieve is widely used in the drying, purification and purification of gases and liquids. For example, it can be used for the preparation of argon and the refining of certain gases. In addition, 4A molecular sieve can also be used as an additive for detergents in industry, soften water through ion exchange, and be used to adsorb toxic gases containing sulfur and nitrogen to achieve the purpose of eliminating pollution.
